about

This song was written about the All Lives Matter movement that sprung up in reaction to Black Lives Matter, but the mindset applies in many situations.
You've seen it happen. Someone who usually doesn't have a voice steps up and starts to speak, then someone who has a voice all the time steps up also and says, "Well, what about me?"
It's relatively harmless when someone is just showing bravado and out boasting at a party (remember them?) But when someone on the margin starts to speak and we pull the narrative back to "What about me?" for the dominant group, the end effect is that the marginalized person's voice is taken away.
Of course all lives matter, but nobody thought to start a movement until Black Lives Matter started asking some pointed questions about the police.
Sometimes, we need to shut up and listen.

lyrics

Dickhammer, don't try to make this about you
Dickhammer, sometimes it's not about you
Dickhammer, you know it's not about you
Dickhammer, don't give a fuck about you

Can't make it clearer
Put down the mirror
Nobody cares as much as you do
You're so simple,
But such a complex
See persecution, lies and voodoo

Dickhammer, don't try to make this about you
Dickhammer, sometimes it's not about you
Dickhammer, you know it's not about you
Dickhammer, don't give a fuck about you

Such an ego
Does it impede you?
Every problem, make it all about you
Myopic vision
With each incision
Little cuts and bites that you chew

about

Stand Against Fear Guelph, Ontario

SAF formed out of the ashes of Peace Corpse in 2016 when Mark (Hockey Teeth, Meh, The Brute Creation) invited Erik (Wiggler!?!, Turdburglars) to jam with Nathan (Nasties) on bass with Aaron (CID, Ripped Emotions) and Steve (Negative Gain) on guitar.
In 2022, Steve and Aaron left and have been replaced by Jeremy (ASOP) and Colton (SBFM).
Old school, sing-along satire punk.
